Run the TCS NYC Marathon
East Side House has been named an Official Charity Partner for the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon, which takes place on Sunday, November 5. East Side House will be among more than 550 official charity partners providing thousands of runners the opportunity to run in the world’s biggest and boldest marathon.
The TCS New York City Marathon is one of the city’s most anticipated and iconic annual sporting events, attracting runners and spectators of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities from around the world. More than 50,000 runners are expected this year after the race returned to full capacity last year.
East Side House was founded in 1891 on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, relocating to the Mott Haven section of the South Bronx in 1963 to meet the emerging needs of the community. Over the years, we’ve expanded to 600 staff members serving 10,000 children, teens, adults, and seniors across 29 locations in the South Bronx and surrounding communities. The future is also looking brighter for the people we serve. Along with our Harvest to Haven program, that currently helps feed over 800 homebound adults through our Home Delivered Meals program, with our brand-new commercial kitchen (coming Summer 2023) we will be providing employment and educational opportunities to young adults while we feed over 5,000 hungry people a week in the Bronx!

We encourage runners who’ve already been granted a spot in the Marathon to add meaning to their miles through fundraising. Every dollar helps support the 10,000 children teens, adults, and seniors we serve annually.
